Actual duration depends on factors like room temperature, air circulation and humidity levels. Higher temperatures and increased airflow will cause faster evaporation, whilst cooler, still conditions extend the oil life.

Can I adjust the fragrance intensity?

Yes, you can control scent strength by adjusting the number of reeds used. Start with 8-10 reeds for moderate fragrance, add more for stronger scent, or remove some for lighter diffusion. You can also flip the reeds weekly to refresh the scent throw and maintain consistent fragrance levels.

Is this suitable for people with fragrance sensitivities?

The natural essential oil formula is generally better tolerated than synthetic fragrances, but individual sensitivities vary. The rosemary eucalyptus blend contains natural compounds that may trigger reactions in sensitive individuals. Start with fewer reeds to test tolerance before using the full bundle.

What maintenance does this diffuser require?

Minimal maintenance is needed - simply flip the reeds every 1-2 weeks to refresh fragrance output. Keep the vessel away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent rapid evaporation. Clean the vessel with warm soapy water when changing fragrances or repurposing the glass.

Can I use different fragrance oils in this diffuser?

Whilst designed for Lafco oils, you can use other reed diffuser oils after thoroughly cleaning the vessel. Ensure complete removal of previous fragrance residue with hot soapy water and allow to dry completely. Different oil viscosities may affect reed performance and scent throw.

How do I know when to replace the reeds?

Replace reeds when they become completely saturated and clogged, typically after 2-3 months of use. Signs include reduced fragrance throw, discoloured reeds, or oil not travelling up the reed length. Fresh reeds restore optimal scent distribution and prevent dust accumulation.

Is this safe to use around pets?

Essential oils can affect pets differently than humans, with cats being particularly sensitive to certain compounds. Eucalyptus oil may cause respiratory irritation in some animals. Place the diffuser in well-ventilated areas away from pet sleeping and feeding areas and monitor for any adverse reactions.

What should I do if the glass vessel breaks?

The hand blown glass is durable but can break if dropped. Clean up carefully using gloves to avoid cuts from glass fragments. The fragrance oil may stain surfaces, so clean spills immediately with absorbent materials. Unfortunately, replacement vessels aren't typically available separately from Lafco.
